WidgetBucks: End of Month Review
Ok, so this is end of first week for WidgetBucks (on 9th) of November and they posted their first months final earnings in their “My Bucks” section. If you remember, I had done widget bucks review and widget bucks referral system review some days back. This post is about my final earnings from my referrals from widget bucks.
As I said in my WidgetBucks ‘referral system review’ on Ocober 22nd that I had 133 referrals on that day. As of today, I have a total of 227 referrals. I was expecting that WidgetBucks will make me around $400 to $500 in referral earnings. But what did they made me? Here is a screenshot.
They made me only $222.51 in referral earnings, much below my expectations. Well I am not impressed. Nor happy.
So, will I be promoting them any more. No, I am taking down my banners, signatures etc. now.
How did you guys do in terms of earnings and referrals? Do let me know through comments.

The banner on the sidebar isn’t even linked using your referral, only using the direct link to widgetbucks.

Yes, it seems everybody is now thinking about getting paid. Many of the webmasters have stopped promoting them until they get their first payment, which is still quite far (15th December).
Is widgetbucks becoming another chitika? I think so.

I think on October 31st I had around 30 referrals and those 30 only made me $1.20, so, 30 people could only make $12.00 between them…I dont really buy that.

I put widgetbucks just in one of my website and honestly I just make less than 2 dollars! Im waiting to see if the other will get paid, if so Ill wait to arrive at the payout and then take it off!

hi jim, ihave got 21.73$ with 22 referrals, im happy cause i didnt expect anything with this program. this more 9$ of earnings, reaches my 50$ payout, when its supposed to be?

Are you from India? Ive notice widgetbucks doesnt show India anymore under the mysettings page when you update your account. Its only US and Canada.. please enlighten us..

Hey Jim did you read on dp forum how many people got banned for apparently not really true reason…I think they are going really low!

Yes. I read all those comments. But my argument is following:
If I were Widget Bucks and I wanted to scam, I would never ban anybody, would get as many registrations before December 15th (the big payment day) and then just keep quite without payment.
But WidgetBucks is doing opposite. So I am really positive with them. Also remember that there has to be a lot of registrations just for that $25 free. Some people will register even 100 times, just to get thta $25 free. And, my feeling is that people who are not actually following their TOS are being banned. So no need to be worried for people not doing anything wrong.

yes your theory is good, but a lot of people get banned for no reason. I mean how can is possible that some of this websites didnt get banned from Google but Widgetbucks did. And also I didnt like that now they are banning people that dont have english content websites. I know they changed the rules but they change it now, so they should or just leave the ones that register when this rule wasnt there r at least give them the money they earned! Im trying Adbrite too now on my myspace related website cuz I dont know why but my google earning are going down

i have heard from many webmasters that it was bad experience for them .. and few says its a good one. m confused for this…. so at last till now haven’t registered for it yet.
and hey “martina” i am also saying after reading from DP only as there are many threads about getting banned.

I have not yet tried widgetbucks as I dont know how good the payout is for India. I heard they might cut the payment for non-us traffic

I have promoted widgetbucks few months ago. I haven’t spent anything, I just add link in my sig on DigitalPoint and write few posts on my blogs(English and Slovenian).

i only manage to get my first payment. To reach 2nd payout, its crazily hard to me.
