March 2008 Earnings: $61,343.62

After doing pretty good in the month of February 2008, I was pretty confident that I would cross $60,000 mark for the month of March 2008. So, the month is gone and its the earnings report time again. I know its pretty late for the report, but I was kind of busy with something else.

In the month of March 2008, I crossed the $60,000/month mark for the first time. I am pretty excited about it. In march I made $61,343.62 in total from various advertising networks and advertisers for all of my sites (around 200 of them) combined.

Here is the screenshot.

Here are few points about the earnings:

The biggest earner still remains Adsense. I did some banner tweaking on some of my sites and I did pretty well with adsense. I did around $36,780 with adsense as compared to $31,611 in February.
With Kontera I crossed $7,000 mark last month. This month I crossed the $8,000 mark with them ($8,327 this month). I am planning to cross $9,000 for the month of April.
My medical affiliate programs combined (LECash, Market Health and Sytropin) were the third best for me doing $8,316.
Other big earners were Casale Media, Burst Media, Text Link Ads, Click Bank and NeverBlueAds.

To compare my earnings with my previous months:

March 2008: $61,343.62 (this month)
February 2008: $55,123
January 2008: $47,740
December 2007: $41,300
November 2007: $45,000
October 2007: $41,900
Septebmer 2007: $40,000

How much are my expenses on these sites?
My expenses in terms of hosting (2 dedicated servers and 8 shared) and domain registrations are at around $1,000. Other expenses like SEO, outsourcing etc. are another $1,000 or so.

What am I expecting from April 2008?
Here are the few things I am planning/doing for April 2008:

Planning to cross $65,000 in earnings for sure. But will target for around $70,000.
Will buy some 2 or 3 good sites to try to reach that $70,000 mark.
Will cross $9,000 with Kontera.
Will also focus more on Indian related sites and will monetize them more with local advertising networks like Axill India.
Focus more on affiliate networking.

Congrats!…now u are doing all this with monthly expenses of only $2000???….you have no advertising costs?….no Adwords, MSNadcenter, YSM…etc…??…..all your traffic is natural??

Yes, I use CJ. But neverblueads and clickbank are working better for me. But some advertisers are only on CJ.

I don’t use PPC for any of these websites.
I do use PPC for some of my company’s sites, but those sites are not included in my personal earnings. This post is about my personal earnings.

I made $150 in March and I’m quite happy with it.

I’m not full time internet marketer and I’m still new in this. At the moment I own only 6 or 7 sites.

I made $1.48.

yes, One dollar and 48 cents.

Clearly, I’m doing something wrong.

I was hoping to make at least $500 a month.

Sure that really good - you make monthly progress.

For my self I also did very good in March.
Better then Feb.
But I run a webshop and my new shop ( just 2 months old ) go’s really well in sales and traffic.
Also my target for next month is higher hahahaha.

Congrats Jim once again for your achievement in past month.I am damn sure you are going to hit those goals you mentioned in the post.

About my report,My new site is doing according to no. of visitors.My site is just one month old and getting 50 visitors from search engine and all most all traffic comes from US and UK.
But still no earning in any of my accounts

it’s about working smarter not harder, try to copy what everybody else is doing will get you nowhere, you need to think outside the box, I make $8K per month from a domain with free hosting which costs $29 per year.. all resulting from natural search and it only took 6 months to get this $29 site to that earning level with very little work required in the 1st couple of weeks of the site going live.I could clone this site multiple times if i could just sit down and do it.. but i’ve lost the drive to make money becuase i make so much without having to do anything to the site.

you litterly need a million uniques a month before you start earning crazy money from ads

if you cant generate at least that
and then generate the clicks

I am really amazed at how everyone just believes this guy and does not take the time to calculate the amount of traffic, ROI, CTR and see that you can never reach this amount just with advertising as he is doing.

Hi JK,

Just wanted to congratulate you on your earnings.

I don’t really post on bligs but just wanted to say to the person above who mentioned that the amount of money you were earning was riddiculous is that, with lots of hard work and effort these numbers are VERY achievable.

I’ve worked in digital marketing for a very long time and can safely say that if you target the correct keywords, have correct content, domains etc and generally use good SEO practice, you can drive large volumes of traffic to your site. In this case, JK has leveraged his 200 domains and as a result has spread his risk ans chances of earning more money.

Somehow I doubt that JK would tell anybody about his methods (if I were him I wouldn’t), however, I would recommend that if one was to engage in good white hat SEO then you can sustain long-term revenue.

My question to JK, I also like you have many domain names across different industry sectors. In your portfolio of sites, do you have forums? If so, in comparison do you think that forums work better than general sites or do you think I should use more content driven sites to generate revenue? Your help would be much apprecited.

Yes I have some forums. Traditional advertising networks may not work very well with forums because of their high number of same visitors visiting again and again. But these are the places where you can find direct advertisers to advertise their deals at.
