eWebGuru : Web Hosting Company in India
This is a my review of ewebguru.com website.
Ewebguru.com is a web hosting company based in India. They claim to be the biggest web hosting company in the country. The site’s primary offerings are three Linux web hosting plans which are feature rich but relatively inexpensive. These three plans – Silver, Gold and Diamond, are all suitable for commercial application. They also have all the features that any individual or company could need.
The web site is well designed and has an intuitive interface, with well defined links, which lead you to various other pages which give you more information about its products. On the front page there are links to the other services they provide, as well as to the dedicated pages for the Silver, Gold and Diamond Plans. The other links take you to Domain Registration Services, Reseller Plans and ASP Hosting Plans on Windows Servers.
The Silver, Gold and Diamond plans offer standard Linux based domain hosting and web space, providing Apache web server, MySql and PHP for dynamic sites. All of them offer a host of similar features, such as 100 Subdomains, Unlimited FTP accounts, Unlimited MySQL Database, Unlimited Email Accounts, Web Site Builder, POP / SMTP Access, IMAP Access, Web based mail, Virus Protection, Spam Filtering, E-mail filter, Unlimited Forwarders, PHP 4 and 5 (Dual support), CGI / Perl, Server Side Includes, Site Stats, Raw Access Logs, Cron Jobs, FrontPage Ext., Custom Error Pages, Password Protect Directories, Redirects, Raw Access Logs, Error log, Subdomain Stats, Apache Handlers, HotLink Protection, Catch-all e-mails, IMAP Support, Blogs, Content Management, Discussion Boards, CubeCart, OS Commerce, Zen Cart, Guestbooks, Image Galleries, Mailing Lists, PHP with GD, Ioncube, Zend Optimizer, Search Engine Optimization Tools, Search Engine Submission, Free Premium Website Templates, Internet Marketing Guides, cPanel/Fantastico for website administration and Free Setup.
There is nothing much special about this, as most web hosting companies offer these facilities. The only positive thing in these plans is in the web space and monthly bandwidth they provide, and their annual cost. The Silver plan provides 5 GB web space and 100 GB monthly band width, and costs Rs. 995/- or $26.18/- annually. The Gold Plan provides 7 GB web space and 140 GB monthly bandwidth and costs Rs. 1400/- or $36.84/- annually. For the Diamond Plan the figures are 11 GB and 220 GB monthly band width and Rs. 2500/- or $65.79/- annually.
For new users, ewebguru.com offers a free website builder using which they can have their website up and running in a very short time. Experienced users can use their own web development software to create and test their website and then upload it by FTP. Using their domain registration services, a user can register his own domain for between Rs. 349.00 to Rs. 1010.00 per year.
Reseller Plans are available in four packages costing Rs. 5000.00, Rs.8000.00, Rs.15000.00 and Rs.20000.00. However, the web space available per plan seems inadequate. Only 5 GB for 15 domains for the first one, going up to 20 GB and 150 domains for the last one.
For websites using ASP or ASP.NET technology, Hosting Plans on Windows based servers are available, but obviously are more expensive and have more limited capabilities. This company also offers hosting plans for JSP/Tomcat.
The ewebguru.com has its own servers and offers 24×7 supports through an e-ticketing system. However, on one of its pages it says that it offers 24×7x365 support, which is somewhat confusing to say the least.
So, where they can be better?
I think they are using some standard violet web hosting theme, which is quite intuitive, but if they had a unique designed theme which looked different from all-those-hosting-websites, it would be great.

Is it even bigger than net4india? I head that is the biggest hosting company in India. In domain registration many new companies are entering as resellers of large players.

Interesting costing, I see on the site it is “leading web hosting company” and not “biggest” so just some misconceptions there.

currently i’m using manashosting, and my experience with them is bad. servers r slow,regular downtime, worst customer care, so i’m looking for a new hosting service.

Jim, One thing to add to the article themes about hosting in India. Its been suggested by some SEO folks that if you are hosting a .in website having it actually hosted in India will help the SERPs. Obviously no one can say how much it will help but everything that you can do to help should be considered.

they have a nice support as i signed to their services…………but one thing that should be remembered is that they dont offer multiple domain hosting …….which i didnt figure out at the time of signing as their was no mention of that……….that made me heartbroken……….

ohh…thats the first indian webhosting site i have seen that doesnt oversell and overcharge….
i have seen some indian webosting site that sell at 3 times the US price and providing 10 gb storage in a 2Gb server!!

I registered two sites kingoftollywood.com & queenoftollywood.com through ewebguru
But they are not working..They say the OS crashed out there and they cannot guarantee the prescence of data…
Their server have crashed…Its been two days n now they are not even working. So beware friends ewebguru is not so much reliable, and u may loose your data

I called several times at 1:00 a.m. for enquiry but no one responded.
I am thinking of changing the hosting company..

Hello guys, i have two sites hosted in ewebguru . the site with high traffic is down after two days of buying . my site is dowm from 24 hrs and still there is response from them . i suggest not to take hosting from ewebguru who have above 3000 visitors daily .. websites having traffic like 100 or 200 visitors per day can use this service .

I am http://www.ewebguru.com/ customer, hosting worlddir123.com, they recently have a server crash, but I think it is not something uncommon in hosting Industry.
They recover from crash within 1 day and restored all sites without loosing any data. I was really impatient when site was down, but got relief when it come back with all data safe. I decided to continue with them, as no hosting company give guarantee that their will not be hardware failure or server crash.

Please contact the billing/support department as soon as possible. If you choose ewebgru within first month you site will recieve above message . they dont give money back too .

mastilinks.com is suspended as it was using copyright content from different media sources, it was against terms of services.
We do not allow any pirated content in our servers. We have more than 8000 satisfied customers, those who run genuine sites. We have 99.9% satisified and happy customers.

My website is hosted with eWebguru. They had a horrible customer service. They have mobile numbers in their customer support. When I call them on that one guy called me to call after 1 hour (He is doing something) . If you raised a support ticket, they answer it without reading the question properly. This happened to me several times. Once my email was not working SO I called the guy so he refused to take the call, he wants me to raise a support ticket first. After the heated argument, he said, he will reboot the server and problem sorted.
They may be the cheapest but worth it. I am looking for alternate solutions

I am an exisiting eWebGuru customer since last apprx 2 years, I was refered to eWebGuru by my friend who was saying many positive things about eWebGuru, Initiaaly I was reluctant to take their service as their price was low, later I agreed to my friends advice, as he had great experience with eWebguru. I was really impressed with their quality service and prompt & intelligent reply of all queries.
Server uptime and speed is also great.

Initial i bought silver plan with them. it was working fine. then upgraded to gold, i bought two domains from them.
Now I am finding daily their server’s are download for atleast few minutes.
this time its limit its down for last 24 hours.
I can say that dont go for cheap web host like this

I am using them for my consultancy site, so far did not found any downtime. Contacted their support 2-3 times, got satisfactory reply, I am using them since last 2 months. So far their service is OK. Will see how it goes.

Hello , i have bought thier silver plan recently . my experience with it is
1. cheapest - right
2. 24×7 support - wrong (they take 3-5 days to reply for a ticket) . My ticket is still open which i replied on 13/08/2009 15:44
3. Not suitable for whom , looking for professional web hosting .
Ewebguru is not at all professional web hosting .
Thier sales team say 15 days money back But thier techinal team say we only refund if you face problem which ewebguru cannot solve .

Regarding support, your ticket was related to billing which is answered only in working hrs. Dont expect answer of billing issues on 14th Aug (Janamasthmi) or 15th Aug (Independence day) as billing work only in working days, on holiday only technical issues are handled.
Regarding money back issue, we gave you 15 days money back guarantee, guarantee is not free ride, it means if our service does not work as per specification we refund the amount, we asked what problem you are facing and you replied that you are not facing any problem

Ewebguru took 500 rs as penality for my review above written . i never seen deducting money in account for reviews . anyways may be they care about 500 rs but i dont . I want to know is this correct to deduct money as penality for reviews or not ? is there anyone here who agrees deducting money for reviews is correct ?

We just dedcuted some money as setup charges and refunded remaining which you used to buy domain, first you took hosting from us, then cancel without assigning any reason and ask for refund, after that paint the internet with negative review. You got the refund still you are writing negative review. I dont know why.

I took ewebguru hosting 2 years back, I found them in google, and I never regretted my decision, quality service and great uptime, maximum tickets are answered in 1 hr, only in 1 ticket I got very late reply it was after 3 hr, I use wordpress blog and always get my blog loaded very fast.
I am very happy customer of ewebguru and those who are looking quality service and cheap price I recommend them from bottom of my heart
