Combine Feedburner and Feedblitz
Did anybody notice a big jump in my feedburner RSS readers count on the right hand side bar, in last few days? This is because I joined feedblitz with feedburner, so that all my feedblitz users will be counted in feedburner RSS count also.
What does that mean?
That means that people can use feedblitz if they like. And feedblitz will reports its readers to feedburner. So, now onwards feedburner will report the right number of feed readers at jimkarter.com and need not combine both of them to come to the final figure of RSS readers here. Now I can just read the feedburner count and that is the number of readers on jimkarter.com
How did I do it?
I was using http://www.jimkarter.com/feed as my feed in feedblitz. I just changed this URL to http://feeds.feedburner.com/jimkarter in feedblitz. Feedblitz has confirmed on some other blog that they do report their feed readers to feedburner. So all those (currently 220) feedblitz readers will be reported to feedburner as well. And feedburner will count them as readers.
Are you also using feedblitz and feedburner, both together on your blog? Then why not combine them.
It is easy.
As of today, I can say that my total number of RSS readers are 899. Just some more time to reach that figure of 1,000
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I think current readers are 889 instead of 899…

I know that you will achieve this landmark very soon.
Best Of Luck.
And thanks for the information..though I don’t use feedblitz on my site

Why do you use Feedburner instead of the rss feed build into WordPress? I’ve never understood that.

Why do you use feedblitz instead of feedburner’s feed-by-email option??
