Nowadays, People are trying to earn money from every possible way of income even though it is unethical way, some people don’t hesitate to go for it. Earlier man used to depend on a particular business but now money factor is so huge that people can’t depend on single business. Many people do blogging to earn few bucks so that they can pay their bills or whatever maybe the reason.
As I said earlier also that earning money from blogging is not easy thing to do and it needs your patience. If you are greedy about money then blogging shouldn’t be your choice. Yes! I have to say that because blogging will not make you a rich person over the night. It needs lots of experience and efforts to make your blog popular in the world.
All knows that money can be made by blogging but you should have ample amount of visitors and not only visitors but potential visitors! If you are thinking of making serious money from blogging then you have to take decision of putting advertising on your blog. Advertising ads on blog is an effective method to make money online and you should know when to put ads on your blog. You should ask yourself before putting ads on blog that when should I put advertising ads on my blog? What will be the right time to put ads? Such questions will surely help you out.
What is the best time to put advertising on your blog?
I thought a lot about it before putting advertising on this blog. I read lots of articles on internet about this topic and made some conclusions from them which I want to share with you guys. According to me, you should have at least 150+ unique visitors per day to put advertising on blog. To get that much visitors is very easy. If your content is good and unique then you will get visitors for sure. Keep adding new content to blog and you will get more visitors.
Well, it is also depend on the niche of your blog. For example, if your blog is related to technology, make money online, health, celebs etc. then you’ll get good visitors and will also keep visiting but if your blog is a personal blog or any other general blog then it will be little bit difficult to get visitors and also to maintain same number of visitors regularly.
Why 150 unique visitors per day?
I said that 150 visitors per day but this is also very less number. Many different niches require much more visitors so that they can start advertising on their blog. When you get that much visitors, you can start advertising slowly on your blog.
Many visitors just come to get knowledge on your blog and will close the window after reading content or getting what they want. This type of visitors are always more in numbers i.e. around 85-90% and this percentage is totally depends on content of your blog so it can vary time to time. So remaining will just try to find what else they can get from your blog. Your blog should have strong and interactive content so that large number of visitor will surf through more content and will also come back to see what is new on blog. Even from these remaining visitors there will be extremely less percentage of visitor who will be interested in you advertisement and clicking on your ads.
Even if you are planning to put advertising then don’t put ads from more than one or two advertising network. I will recommend you to use combination of one PPC ad and one text link ad which will give better results. Give more time to your blog to grow, add new content on regular basis and slowly experiment with ads of different networks. Don’t be a greedy person and much excited or else you will not get anything. People who are visiting your blog will think that you are just blogging to make money from it and refuse to come again on your blog. So don’t do blogging just for the sake of money.

Good post Harshad, but why loosing money and potentiel? My thery is that you can put ads even from the first day and simply increase the price when you grow. There are some people that would advertise in new blogs because the price will be cheap. What do you think?

Well! you are right in pointing out that only when one has a credible base of readership, one should put ads otherwise it will look spam and cluttered.
And yes patience is the name of the game. When one starts out blogging, money should be the last thing on his mind. It should come purely as an interest and then money can take over if the content is good and passion shows through his post.

I would suggest to put ads on blog from day one. People blog to make money and this money motivates a blogger to blog more often. There are many advertisers who will buy a link or banner on a blog for $10 per month no matter how the blog is. This $10 will always motivate the blogger to blog more often which will result in getting more visitors and more ad revenue. So no matter how old/new/good/bad/ugly is your blog….You should start advertising from day one.

Well,I have checked it by putting ads from day one as well as after getting after 150+ unique visitors but 2nd method gives good out come than 1st one.
There are some advertisers who gives low money and advertise on new blogs but if you want to make a good long time income then you must avoid it.

Why do a blog of mine not get advertisers easily, although having 500+ uniques a day?
I am working in SEO Company what my experience say is 500+ uniques visitors are coming its ok but from where they are coming is more important now a days using social media services like social book marking any one can get traffics but in SEO we not consider it as quality traffics as its used to increase number of hits to site. Advertiser never give ads to such site as they are looking into quality of traffics which can covert into sale or sales lead

This is a good idea because most people (including myself) bulk their ad space up with advertising thinking they are going to become rich quickly and then the overcrowded webpage sends all the readers away and they never make money.
Sometimes it can pay to wait, sometime it is better to just jump in (I believe good ads and good ad placement can show credibility). So you need to work out what works best for you

Really nice post harshad, yes it true that many new blogger r keeping too many advertising banners in there blog and expecting huge income with in couple of months and they r getting failed. Ur method is correct about when to put ads in a blog. First the content is important as visitors come to a site just for useful information and not to click on ads.

I have found that advertising works as soon as you start getting a few visitors.
I have also found that it is getting visitors that is the real problem. Obviously nothing works without visitors.

I have very few visitors. I get clicks on Google ads at about a one in every hundred visitors.
I don’t see how anyone can make enough money for just about anything without at least 500 visitors per day. Even then it wouldn’t be much unless I have the wrong type of advertising.
