POCC MeetUp November
POCC (Pune Open Office Club) is an open event where people can meet with other entrepreneurs, investors, startups etc. Today (Saturday, November 22nd 2008), POCC had their meetup in SICSR Pune. I attended it.
Overall, it was quite an informal event. This time it was organized by Navin of PuneTech. The topics discussed this time was like what are the problems (pain points) that the new startups in Pune are facing and what can we do about it. There were many problems discussed, like reliable internet connection, electricity problems, finding a good SEO company, company formation and legal problems. Many people suggested many solutions.
After the open discussion, there were two startup presentations. First one was from a upcoming “matrimonial search engine” company called Bandhan.com. The second one was by an another startup called The Tossed Salad. It is a lifestyle based startup from Pune.
After the presentation, we had around 30 minutes of networking time where I met many entrepreneurs, exchanged visiting cards and found out what they are working on. It seems, many startups are doing pretty good work which can make big.
After the POCC Meetup (it ended at 7:15 PM), we joined Anthony for the Startup Cinema where we saw the movie “Office Space” on the terrace of his apartment. Anthony and Nick are working on their startup called enTrip, which is related to travel. We had some pizza and drinks with the movie.
Overall, it was a nice event to know what entrepreneurial activities are happing around Pune. I joined it because my company is still in startup phase. It was nice knowing so many people around you.

Hi
I have recently started a blog featuring new and unused website ideas. if you would like to use one of my ideas on your blog feel free to do so, as long as you clearly state where you took it and add a backlink. Take any on of these if you like them: http://badass-website-ideas.blogspot.com/ You can use the text as it is or rewrite it.
PS. This is not a cheap advertising attempt, you don’t have to publish this comment on your blog if you don’t want, I just want you to know this message.
