Make Money Every Way Possible

Hello friends. First of all, sorry about the last post. Actually, I was getting stuck up in my work too much and was not able to update the blog with the frequency I wanted. I was not able to provide the much needed time to the blog. That is why I decided to stop writing for it.

But it seems, people are using my blog for more than what I thought they use it for. I am really happy to see that. Seeing the comments in the last post I really felt like a celebrity (which I am not). ha ha ha! So, I am back on track again for writing. This time I will not keep any commitments about writing. I will blog when I am feeling like blogging and not just because its been days since I have blogged. I hope that is fine.

Ok, so now coming back to the topic of the subject.

These are the bad times for the economy. And so are for the online advertisers and publishers. Advertisers are trying their best to reduce their costs. Some of them are reducing their advertising budgets as well. This is what affecting the publishers. Publishers are being hit for two reasons. First, the advertisers are reducing their advertising budgets, hence reducing the advertising revenues from advertisers for publishers from networks like Google Adsense. Second, the consumers are trying to save more money and spend less and less. This is what making the publishers less money from advertisers like commission junction, clickbank, market health, leading edge cash and similar other sale based advertising networks.

So, what can publishers do to stop their earnings from dropping day by day.

There are many things which you can do. I have talked about them in my previous post earnings down! what to do?.

Other than this you can do one more thing to earn some money. If you have a site with good PR like PR5 or above then you can appoint somebody to sell links for you on monthly basis. You can find such members in forums like DP and others to sell your links. If you don’t have such high PR sites then you can sell such links for others. Yes, you can contact people and tell them that you can buy so and so links from their so and so pages for so and so price. Then you can sell these links at a higher price in the market places like webmaster forums.

I am also offering such an offer for one of my big and reputed site where I am planning to sell some good links. I will be giving $5 for each link that a person sells for me at $19.90/month. If you also want to sell these links, just contact me for the details. The links are PR4 and available in every niche possible on more than 100 web pages.

So, just sell them at forums and make some money to compensate the downturn. This is the way I am making money. By leveraging.

I like the idea of hiring someone to be a broker. Being a broker could be quite a lucrative income stream for people with the time.

It is really great to see u back again. Hope you will not change your mind in future and keep us guiding, like a leader of Indian webmasters’ community.

In addition, I would like to suggest u various topics to write posts, which may be bit different from ‘making money’ but really common & important issues for webmasters.
For now, “how to prevent hacking and virus attacks?”.
Its my personal request to u to write on this topic. As you own hundreds of sites, and might have faced these kind of serious killer problems. I want to know how do u keep ’safe’ your sites as an expert?
    …thanks in advance.

Another way to make money online is to start an online dating site but you have to find a niche market that isn’t being saturated yet. You also must know that market in order to try to tackle it. If you don’t know it then you won’t know your customers.

Gopal Tripathi, I will surely make a post on that soon.

edoogg, I am thinking of selling like 300 links or so.

First, thanks a lot for not only reconsidering your decision to stop posting, but for really kicking butt with this post. I absolutely loved it, :)

Also, hey - who said you are not a celebrity?! A celebrity is someone that is loved by lots of people (and who makes a heck lot of money, :) ), right? Isn’t that what you are?

Hmmm, great tips you gave there about selling links. I do have several sites with high PageRanks, so it’s a darn good idea. My only fear is not to get into trouble with google. I keep getting that fear that they KNOW everyone who is selling links and might ban their sites. Anyway, thanks for sharing this.

Glad you changed your mind, I know what you mean about finding the time to blog on top of actually making money.

You could always consider selling this blog, bet you would raise some big money if you are making 4 figures a month from it.

Anyway look forward to future posts.

  18. Everyday Finance responded on 15 Jan 2009 at 2:23 pm #

    Wow, that’s a great idea.

Anyone want an extra opportunity to sell links?

I’ve sold plenty myself for my blog at Everyday Finance, but if you’re able to line up new link purchases, I’ll provide you a full 10% return on each annual signup. I’ve sold links for anywhere from 100-250 for a year, so that’s $10-25 for each link you provide. Contact me via the site contact info if you can line up some advertisers. Just cc me on the email where you have an advertiser agree to buy link space and I’ll send you 10% via email.

Selling points to prospective buyers: PR3; 20K views per month. Lucrative viewers given content - people with money looking to invest/spend.

    Happy selling!

Just a question. Will the $5 commission be in every link renewal?

  22. Envirogle responded on 17 Jan 2009 at 8:07 pm #

Great to see your back, even a few posts a month is great Jim. :D

Excellent, post, but isn’t $20/month for a PR 4 just a bit expensive?

  23. Make Affiliate Money responded on 18 Jan 2009 at 8:55 am #

I would say in the current economic climate that is ambitious $20/month. Depends on the niche I suppose.

  24. Everyday Finance responded on 18 Jan 2009 at 6:57 pm #

All I can say from recent experience is that my blog has nowhere near the traffic (and it’s on blogger platform which has many limitations, forcing me to finally start a Wordpress blog) that this one has and I’ve sold probably 20 links, mostly in the 100-200 range, but some at even 250. Perhaps due to the niche being finance and investing, advertisers are willing to pay a premium? Not sure, but either way…

The offer stands here as well. If anyone can sell some links for me; I’ll gladly share 10% of the annual take.

  25. SEO Nick Taylor responded on 20 Jan 2009 at 8:53 am #

This is a really good blog. I’m new to it, but enjoying it so far. Do you know I’ve seen people selling links, but it’s honestly never occurred to me to sell them myself. Sometimes you need someone else to point out the simplest of things.

A good idea to hire a link broker however I am not sure how Google reacts to this. If your bothered about your search engine rankings I wouldn’t go anywhere near selling links or purchasing links.

  34. Jim Karter responded on 09 Feb 2009 at 1:10 am #

Yup, google banned my domain because the links on my site does not use rel=”nofollow” tag. Which I don’t intent to do.

  35. RAVINDERJIT responded on 09 Feb 2009 at 1:41 am #

  36. Deepak Jain responded on 09 Feb 2009 at 5:35 am #

I feel extremely sad to know that :-(

  37. Mega Champ responded on 09 Feb 2009 at 9:56 pm #

PR 0 :-| sorry to hear that Jim, and does google mean to say its wrong if you link you internal pages without using “nofollow” . Well i do that so many times if i have to reference any earlier post of mine and never used the “nofollow”. Looks like have to careful from next time.

  38. Jim Karter responded on 11 Feb 2009 at 12:22 am #

No. The internal pages must always be linked without the nofollow tag. What google says is that if you “sell” a link or banner on your site, you should put rel=nofollow to it, else you can get penalized.

  39. Y. Steven responded on 11 Feb 2009 at 11:21 am #

Hi jim, is it possible if Google will ban my site if i’m offering to put their site link/banner by paying for it? btw i have remove rel=”no follow” tag in my comment form is that okay?
