How to Never Run Out of Content

This article is a guest post from Abdulrehman from 3arn.net who teaches how to make money on the internet. He is a 15-year old blogger who is pretty passionate about blogging and making money online.

Most bloggers go through confusion and usually can’t think of ideas for new posts once they have written their best ones, after which they usually come up with lame articles, stop writing articles or drop their niche and write posts which are aimless to any topic. Below are outlined, some great ways to keep your blog rich with fresh content which is related to your website.

Don’t limit your blog’s topic

It is always best to keep your blog a little on the side from your main niche, you can write articles on your main topic but keep other options open as well. Moreover, try to relate things out of your niche to your niche and write articles about things that you like.

Diversify your blog’s categories

It doesn’t matter which stage your blog is at, you can always pick new categories which are related to your blog and keep them in mind, because looking at each of these categories will bring new post ideas to your mind, for example choose 10 blog categories, when you’re writin a new article pick a category which you haven’t written much about yet and think on it, because your mind wouldn’t be too drained out on that one, you’ll be able to come up with a creative post idea. Keep flipping categories and you’ll remain enriched with ideas. For example, my blog is in the make money online niche, but just because I have a category called ‘Tips’, I’ll write about anything which I feel is worthy for the category such as writing an article on finding the best torrents because it is good tip on P2P downloading.

Listen to your blog’s readers

Sometimes, when you write an article you might miss something which is mentioned by some of your readers. If you feel it is worth a mention then go ahead and write a post on it because after all it is your blog’s readers who will be reading those articles. Also, read the comments on other blogs and if you see a hint of some topic mentioned by a commantator, just go ahead and write on it.

Read your older posts

When you write an article, you might miss something or might have learned something new about it. So it is best to give a look at your older articles once in a while because it might give you good ideas of follow-up articles.

Make routine posts

I’ve seen many blogs with a routine post every week such as a sunday link love or wordless wednesday or funny friday which usually makes it easy to come up with posts because you don’t have to thin k of something entirely new.

Point out to other great blogs

When you see great articles written on other blogs you read and you think they will be useful to your blog’s readers then go ahead and write a second opinion on it, or review it. This will not only cover up a good post but might also help you gain attention by the original article author.

These 6 idea generating tips will surely help you in writing articles at the time when you run out of ideas, because writing articles regularly is the backbone of an active blog.

Very true, I also think on the exact lines - to keep your main niche a little bit aside so that you can include other related topics as well, it surely does help. Very nice and intelligent observations, hope they will go a long way in generating new ideas. Thumbs up to your contributions. :D

89 words with only one dot. Maybe you should re-format that. It is not an enjoyable experience to read that. :D

I think to help with content on your make money blog you should always keep a note book beside you so that any ideas that come your way you can act on and blog about. I find I think of ideas in the weirdest places it is usually when I have stopped forcing myself to think about it.

Subscribe to the feeds of major news sites and other bloggers in your field (or closely related). Giving your reaction to a major or developing story can be a great way to add more content to your blog.

One source which keep giving me topics to write is Yahoo answers. Just search for your niche and listen what other people are seeking for answers and make a topic from that.

Certainly there are no scarcity of contents if you will keep your eyes open and will try to find out those things which can be related with your niche and business.

Generallt at evening I revised everything which I did on day and from that revision I got what I want to write.

Otherwise Yahoo answer is always there.

I don’t believe you can ever run out of content because there is always something new to learn. If you strive to improve your knowledge of a particular topic on a regular basis you will have new content to share with your visitors/readers!

Diversity is really the key. Writing is a fun activity if you are passionate with it. But sometime, people can suffer from writer’s block. It’s a normal occurrence. I agree that in order to grow as a blogger, one must really not limit his/her blog to just one niche. Sometimes routine activity can be stressful. Try to write about other topics…it’s also a learning experience for you.

Google Adsense offers various ways to earn — mostly pay per click, with some pay per impression. We’re also testing cost per action programs with them as well as video sponsorship so that also adds to our income. Adsense alone brings us 5-digits a month in terms of revenues.

Although you can keep your blog from the side of your main niche, but the most advantage you will get is if you are in the niche. Your content might be limited, but this way you have to be creative to come up with new ones.

Mostly the blogs that succeed have a good niche..

I very rarely see a blog limited to one genre. They usually start at a genre and move on when they realise that they cannot post about the same subject.

I never prefer to use multi topics in one blog. I would recommend that you should stick on one niche and be the master of that.

If you want to express your thoughts on other niche and if you have command than build other separate blog for that.

    Hi Jim,
It’s a good post with 6 good ideas that would save life of a blogger with writer’s block.
Just a mention of few ideas from my side:
    1. When you are doing well & building relationships with bloggers from your niche, you can ask for a guest post from them.
    2. Add personal experiences in what is relevant to your niche.
    3. Be human & write a sorry post.
    I hope this helps.

    Hi,

Nice tips. Specially, I like the last one. It is really good to review or present a bit different opinion on some other blog post. I would like to add here that that target blog should be more famous and authentic than yours. This will help you get juice from it rather than, that guy eating up all the benefits :-).
