They have around 300+ advertising offers to choose from. Many of these offers are exclusive to them only (which I didn’t see anywhere else) and converts quite well.

Do you remember recently eBay closed their relationship with CJ? Well, now you can find them on Pepperjam. Yes, thats true, eBay is available with Japperjam network. There are many such other big names in the list with great payouts and exclusive offers. If you plan to do any of the affiliate offers (through PPC or on your websites), Pepperjam network is anytime one of the best place to start with.

But why is this the best time to join?
Other than being the fastest growing affiliate network with better payouts and great tracking features, here are the TWO new beautiful reasons (yes free is alway beautiful, at-least online) for you to join Pepperjam Network:

They are giving away $10 as sign-up bonus, just for signing up. So, as soon as you sign-up, you will get $10.

You can also earn $50 every month by just blogging about them on your blog.

But even without these incentives, I think Pepperjam Network is one of the network which you must have in your portfolio due to the list of their exclusive offers. It is also one of the few affiliate networks which provides payment through check, paypal and direct deposit, all three methods.

So, if you are not a member, go ahead and register now.

Whenever people ask me the optimized way to make money online from their website I suggest them using 3 things combined:

Adsense

Kontera

One or two links from any of the text link buying program like TNX or text link ads

I suggest these three things together because in my opinion none of them eat up the revenue from the other programs. Kontera is proved not to reduce the Adsense earnings. And, text link ads are hardly clicked. They are there for the SEO benefit only.

So what is this new way to make money online?

Well, it is just one more option for the third option above. That is, one more network to sell links on your website. Why this new back links selling network is a good way to make more money? I will just explain that.

This new back links network is very similar to TNX or text link ads but with a big difference. The difference is their referral program.

You can make money in two ways:

By selling links on your websites

By referring other webmasters for $25 each [auto accepted]

Why is it good?
Their referral program is great because they pay you $25 for each person you refer joins as a publisher to sell links and sells at-least one link. The referrals are accepted automatically into the program. Yes, everybody is accepted. Your referral just need to sell one link on your site (may be just for $0.50) to get you $25 in referral fee.

So, just do the following:

Register with them.

Add a site and sell at-least one link on it.

Refer webmasters and make sure that they sell at-least one link on their site.

That is it. You will make $25 on every account referred.

So, don’t you think its a good idea? In my opinion, it is. So go ahead and register.

Google has retired their Adsense referral program. Here is the email they sent:

Thank you for participating in the AdSense Referrals program.
We’re writing to let you know that we will be retiring the AdSense
Referrals program during the last week of August. We appreciate
your patience during this transition and here are some alternative
options to consider:

    * Google Affiliate Network: As part of the integration of
DoubleClick, the DoubleClick Performics Affiliate Network will now
operate as the Google Affiliate Network for advertisers targeting
users located in the United States. Similar to the AdSense
Referrals program, the Google Affiliate Network enables publishers
to apply for advertiser programs and get paid based on
advertiser-defined actions instead of clicks or impressions. For
further details, please visit: www.google.com/ads/affiliatenetwork.

    * AdSense for content ads: If you have less than three AdSense
for content ad units on a page, you may wish to replace the
referral ad units with standard AFC ad units.

If you currently use referral ads, either to promote Google
products or offerings from AdWords advertisers, AdSense Referrals
code will no longer display ads beginning the last week of August.
We encourage you to take the following steps before the product is
retired:

    * Remove the referral code from your site(s): Please take a
moment to remove all referral code from your sites before the last
week of August, so you can continue to effectively monetize your
ad space.

    * Run and save all referrals reports on your desktop: Create
and save all reports related to the referrals program on your
desktop, so you continue to have access to your valuable campaign
information

Many people have a type of websites which hardly converts with affiliate networks. Such sites includes (but not limited to) wallpaper sites, celebrity gossip sites, lyrics, freebies etc. Most of these people run Adsense as their only advertising network. Then they look for other networks like ValueClickMedia and CasaleMedia to run some CPM and CPC based banners.

But such sites are not always accepted in such networks. So what are your options? Can you run affiliate programs on your website? Can they convert? Well, mostly the answer is no. The reason behind this is that, when a person is visiting such websites, he or she is not at all in a buying mood. He is just sort of having free time, which he/she is enjoying online.

But, there are few affiliate programs which is actually targeted for these type of people. They don’t ask people to buy anything. They promise to give people something free. Which people in such mindset like to opt for.

So what are such offers?
There are many offers like this being run by affiliate networks. For example NeverBlueAds offers many such offers. Here are few examples:

Nike or Adidas - $500 Shopping Gift Card Free

Free $500 Gap Gift Card

Consumer Gift Cards - $250 in Marshalls Gift Cards Free

$500 Gas Card Free

Any many more (at-least 20 more) other similar programs. What these program need is that the user submit their email address or ZIP code into the form. There is only one field in that form. So there offers are quite easy to convert and they convert on almost all types of sites. The main reason behind it is that they offer something as “free” which people surfing such sites would love in that mindset.

These offers are called “Zip Code Offers” or “Email Only Offers.” They mostly pay around $1.20 per email entered or ZIP code entered.

So go ahead and run these offers on your such websites and see how they perform. I am sure you will make some extra money to your Adsense ads, as these offers are very easy to conver. Please note that these offers are not good for website which don’t have much of US traffic. They are mostly good for US traffic only.

I have been submitting my articles to various article directories (bum marketing). In last few months I tried to study few things at ezinearticles.com directory on what are the things that gets you high CTR in your resource box.

Here are some of the results (in the form of tips) for you to build your next bum marketing campaigns:

1. Better quality written articles will surely attract high CTR. Article written by a writer who charges $10 per article (and I know he writes quite good) have got much high CTR than the articles written by some other person for $5 per article.

2. Articles of about 275-300 words got high CTR than articles of 500-600 words (of similar quality). It seems people don’t have that much patience as we think.

3. Articles written in small paragraphs (3 to 4 lines in one paragraph) get high CTR than articles written in big paragraphs (6 to 8 lines per paragraph). I think it increases the readability and scanning power of the article. So person does reach at the bottom of the page.

4. Numbered list articles get more CTR than un-numbered list.

5. Link baiting type of articles surely get better CTR (like “10 ways to …”, “How not to do …”, “Top 10 things…” etc.)

6. Offering something free (related to article written) in resource box increases the CTR.

7. Longer titles get more page views (not sure why) but similar CTR, effectively bringing more traffic to the site.

8. Ezines, squidoo and your website, all three together works best. Instead of submitting all articles to articles directories, create some squidoo pages and try linking them.

I hope this bum marketing tips would be helpful to you when you write (or get it written) your next article for submission.

This is not a paid review. This is my personal review of HerbalBiz website, which does contain my referral links.

I always keep searching for new opportunities for creating more business and making more money online. I have some sites in health niche and am using HerbalBiz as one of my affiliates. In this post, I will explain you how you can use them and make money online.

What is HerbalBiz
HerbalBiz is a home based business affiliate program. It helps people to setup their business of selling herbal based health products online by helping them setup their sites.

What do I have to do?
I will explain it in step-by-step manner. They way I did it.

First of all you need to register with them. You can two options there.

Either you can take $1.95 membership for life

or you can $49.95 yearly membership

In yearly membership, they take care of the domain registration, hosting and all the setup work. They also provide you toll free 800# number for your website. If this looks expensive, then you can go for first option of $1.95 life-time membership. In this case you can create your own domain name (godaddy offering it for $6.95) and host it yourself (you can host it on Site5 which offers unlimited space and bandwidth for $5/month).

When your site is setup, its time to market it. I propose 4 methods for marketing

Organic SEO - This will help you in the long run. Try to get keyword optimized links for the internal pages of your website.

Squidoo Pages - Create at-least one squidoo age for each of your products. Google loves squidoo.

Bum Marketing - Write at-least 3 to 5 articles for each of your products (with time) and submit them slowly to ezine articles directory. Give good time to the resource box and make sure that you link to 3 pages from the resource box, 1) your site homepage, 2) your product page for which you have written the article, and 3) your respective squidoo page. I will be posting more bum marketing tips in my next post.

If you have some extra cash, you can also try PPC

That is it, you herbal based home business and up and running.

Please remember that herbal business is a business where the product cost is quite less but those get sold quite heavy priced. This is why you can make up 60% of the product cost as your profit. Also, there are no headaches of taking orders etc. like we do in drop-shipping. Just setup the site and bring some traffic to it. That is.

Many people are doing it, so can you. If you like it, click on the link below to join it:

What about writing your ads in a local language (like Hindi) for your targeted visitors in that area. For one of my local portals, I was running cam site-targeted campaign. My ad copy written in hindi (my local language) got me 12 times (1100%) more click through that the same ad in English. In my case, there was nothing to convert, so I am not sure about the conversion rate, but CTR would surely be higher.

On other notes:
Why didn’t I write so many days?
Frankly, I didn’t had anything to write about. And, I was also not feeling very good to write anything about.

What about the monthly revenue report?
Its not coming any more. It seems people create problems instead of getting inspired from it. So, have stopped it permanently. The earnings were just little above the last month. That is it.

I do it for most of my blog and sites. But do you also submit the same sitemap to Live Search (MSN) too? If not, start doing it from today. It really helps.

I recently did a simple study with live search sitemap. I have a site which has around 3,000 pages. I submit my sitemap to Google and Yahoo regularly. Google sends around 140,000 visitors per month. Yahoo sends around 20,000 visitors per month. Live/MSN was used to send only around 3,000 visitors.

I also checked number of pages listed in various search engines. Google lists around 2,500 of these 3000 pages. Yahoo lists only 560 pages (I don’t know why so less). I also checked with MSN/Live, it listed only 280 of my pages.

Then I submitted my sitemap (same one which I submit to Google) to Live.com. After 15 days, today, I checked the stats. Now live is having around 2,500 of my pages listed. Wow! Does it also increased my traffic? I checked the stats. Yes, it does.

I used to get around 3,000 visitors per month from Live. But this month till June 22nd I have already received 11,000 visitors from Live (and MSN as shown by awstats). I submitted the sitemap to Live.com on 6th of this month only. So just this one step of submitting my sitemap has increase the traffic from Live/MSN to 4 times. Wow! Now I need to do it for all of my sites.

So, here is the moral of the story: Do submit your sitemap to live.com as well.

I have recently done some changes to the blog. Most prominent are the two:

Installed “Subscribe to comments” plugin. I saw that many people ask a lot of questions. So it would be good for them to find out if anybody has replied to their questions. So, I thought this plugin would be useful for readers.

Made category and archive pages for user (and search engine) friendly.

Now, most of you would be knowing about the “subscrive to comments” plugin, but what is this second point about making the category and archive pages more user friendly.

Now all jimkarter.com’s categories and monthly archive pages contains only the links of all the post in that category or archive. Not readers need not go to page after page to find that first post in the month, or the first post in that category. This is also search engine friendly as the search engines will not find any duplicate content on these pages and will have no duplicate-content problem which many people face with wordpress.

I hope people like these changes.

[On other note: I will be out of station for next week and will not have access to computer. Going on another leave.]
