Make Money in Herbal Business

This is not a paid review. This is my personal review of HerbalBiz website, which does contain my referral links.

I always keep searching for new opportunities for creating more business and making more money online. I have some sites in health niche and am using HerbalBiz as one of my affiliates. In this post, I will explain you how you can use them and make money online.

What is HerbalBiz
HerbalBiz is a home based business affiliate program. It helps people to setup their business of selling herbal based health products online by helping them setup their sites.

What do I have to do?
I will explain it in step-by-step manner. They way I did it.

  • First of all you need to register with them. You can two options there.
    1. Either you can take $1.95 membership for life
    2. or you can $49.95 yearly membership

In yearly membership, they take care of the domain registration, hosting and all the setup work. They also provide you toll free 800# number for your website. If this looks expensive, then you can go for first option of $1.95 life-time membership. In this case you can create your own domain name (godaddy offering it for $6.95) and host it yourself (you can host it on Site5 which offers unlimited space and bandwidth for $5/month).

  • When your site is setup, its time to market it. I propose 4 methods for marketing
    1. Organic SEO - This will help you in the long run. Try to get keyword optimized links for the internal pages of your website.
    2. Squidoo Pages - Create at-least one squidoo age for each of your products. Google loves squidoo.
    3. Bum Marketing - Write at-least 3 to 5 articles for each of your products (with time) and submit them slowly to ezine articles directory. Give good time to the resource box and make sure that you link to 3 pages from the resource box, 1) your site homepage, 2) your product page for which you have written the article, and 3) your respective squidoo page. I will be posting more bum marketing tips in my next post.
    4. If you have some extra cash, you can also try PPC
  • That is it, you herbal based home business and up and running.

Please remember that herbal business is a business where the product cost is quite less but those get sold quite heavy priced. This is why you can make up 60% of the product cost as your profit. Also, there are no headaches of taking orders etc. like we do in drop-shipping. Just setup the site and bring some traffic to it. That is.

Many people are doing it, so can you. If you like it, click on the link below to join it:

Quick Adwords Tip

adwords tipsDo you run PPC campaigns though Adwords? Is your website targeted to some specific area where people understand/speak other language as well? For example, Hindi in India.

What about writing your ads in a local language (like Hindi) for your targeted visitors in that area. For one of my local portals, I was running cam site-targeted campaign. My ad copy written in hindi (my local language) got me 12 times (1100%) more click through that the same ad in English. In my case, there was nothing to convert, so I am not sure about the conversion rate, but CTR would surely be higher.

Who is Going to PubCon?

PubCon Las Vegas is from 11th to 14th November this year. I am planning to go. Who else is coming?

Anybody from India planning to go? May be we can go together and go. Let me know.
If you plan to go, let me know.

On other notes:
Why didn’t I write so many days?
Frankly, I didn’t had anything to write about. :) And, I was also not feeling very good to write anything about.

What about the monthly revenue report?
Its not coming any more. It seems people create problems instead of getting inspired from it. So, have stopped it permanently. The earnings were just little above the last month. That is it.

Live Search Sitemap: It Works

live searchDo you create XML sitemaps for Google and submit it regularly? I do it for most of my blog and sites. But do you also submit the same sitemap to Live Search (MSN) too? If not, start doing it from today. It really helps.

I recently did a simple study with live search sitemap. I have a site which has around 3,000 pages. I submit my sitemap to Google and Yahoo regularly. Google sends around 140,000 visitors per month. Yahoo sends around 20,000 visitors per month. Live/MSN was used to send only around 3,000 visitors.

I also checked number of pages listed in various search engines. Google lists around 2,500 of these 3000 pages. Yahoo lists only 560 pages (I don’t know why so less). I also checked with MSN/Live, it listed only 280 of my pages.

Then I submitted my sitemap (same one which I submit to Google) to Live.com. After 15 days, today, I checked the stats. Now live is having around 2,500 of my pages listed. Wow! Does it also increased my traffic? I checked the stats. Yes, it does.

I used to get around 3,000 visitors per month from Live. But this month till June 22nd I have already received 11,000 visitors from Live (and MSN as shown by awstats). I submitted the sitemap to Live.com on 6th of this month only. So just this one step of submitting my sitemap has increase the traffic from Live/MSN to 4 times. Wow! Now I need to do it for all of my sites.

So, here is the moral of the story: Do submit your sitemap to live.com as well.

Few Changes to the Blog

I have recently done some changes to the blog. Most prominent are the two:

  • Installed “Subscribe to comments” plugin. I saw that many people ask a lot of questions. So it would be good for them to find out if anybody has replied to their questions. So, I thought this plugin would be useful for readers.
  • Made category and archive pages for user (and search engine) friendly.

Now, most of you would be knowing about the “subscrive to comments” plugin, but what is this second point about making the category and archive pages more user friendly.

Now all jimkarter.com’s categories and monthly archive pages contains only the links of all the post in that category or archive. Not readers need not go to page after page to find that first post in the month, or the first post in that category. This is also search engine friendly as the search engines will not find any duplicate content on these pages and will have no duplicate-content problem which many people face with wordpress.

I hope people like these changes.

[On other note: I will be out of station for next week and will not have access to computer. Going on another leave.]
